oh i just love this description of north indians or rather punjabizz!! considering that i am also a punjabi…i was attacked with a volley of questions when i made a shift from delhi to mumbai for work regarding our “punjabi-pana” as is portrayed in bollywood flicks thse days..thanks to akshay kumar,,kiron kher…they find it amusing..n in a way weird,flashy, senseless…

Kha (same as above but Thai, amazing black olive rice)
Dim Joy (fabulous dim sum, cool place, nice wines!)

Hi Magan,

You refreshed my memories of first visit to Singapore. Its my third home . They call it very rightly – Singapore is a ‘Fine’ City.. and I bought a t shirt too that says that. I guess the sequel to this piece should be the ‘Must Do’ and be nice and fine run down of good things. I do not know if you have come across this, but the Singaporeans take great pleasure in flocking and gathering at the accident sites to jot down the numbers from num plates of the crashed cars to play pot or lottery of some sorts to bring luck to themselves .. they truly believe in this. More than anything you would like C.H.I.J.M.E.S.. and the Civilisation Musuem… a must visit if you haven’t yet.

Dear Aristotle,
If you mean that i was effectively able to express my opinion, why then, I thank you for your compliment on my coherence of thought and self-expression.
As I was unable to compile a collective consensus of the 6 billion or so inhabitants of this planet, save the other civilisations that I am sure are ‘out there’, I am sorry you will have to settle for my personal perception. Beyond this, McKinsey, I am told has an extensive report on doing business in not just India, but also in a small alley in Hounslow, UK and certain outer reaches of Jupiter, save for the nasty star which smells like whooping cough.
In the end, you get what you pay for and this advice I have just meted out here, albeit free, is priceless.

I was just browsing on internet and came through your article. It is surprising how Indian professionals are really portraying a “true” picture of India.

Reading your article, I fail to understand is how it depicts the true nature of business of India as you demarked it in clear North and South.
Seems more of a your own perception of “India”
